After completely neglecting my husband and puppy [well, actually I did manage to cook dinner so it ain't all bad…] all day, I would like to introduce to you the brand new Koko Kreepies Website:
Although this blog will still exist, it will not be updated anymore.
See you over at our new website!
Thanks to my lovely partner Koko, the nursery has its first piece of wall art.

[Kreepie Baby Painting]

The process:
She drew the monster, then heavily colored it with crayon [in this case yellow] and washed over the entire canvas with watered down acrylic paint. Then she took a sharpie to outline it. Wallah! Simple and oh so cute.
Thank you again, Koko!

This world is full of glue.
Hot glue. Crazy glue. Tacky glue. Elmer’s glue. They even have gorilla glue.
But none ever seem to stick.
Yesterday, my search ended with Elmer’s brand Craft Bond.
First I fixed an old picture frame that had been broken for ages.
Second I glued small wooden blocks to the front of a scrapbook.
Then I decided to glue a plastic clown head to a mermaid body thinking it would never stick.
I’ll be damned if it didn’t stay. Check it out!

It is no secret I would like nothing more than to quit working a 9-5 job and devote all my time, energy and creative juice to Koko Kreepies. We are entering our second year and some BIG changes are about to happen.
For starters, we want to take care of you. Because after all, we would be nothing without you. My first plan of action is to blog every day. So be prepared to have a Kreepie overload!
Second, we not only want to share our creations with you, we want this to be a place you can find inspiration, ideas and get a glimpse into our creative madness! We want to give back to you since you’ve given us so much!
With that said, some new categories will be popping up. All categories will be pictorial, so no more reading [well, reading captions maybe!] Things you can look forward to include:
Tips & Tutorials
Our Inspirations
House & Studio Tours
Fabric Addiction Stories
Our Creative Process
Projects
Life [including my pregnancy and life with new baby]
Our Pets
Graphic Design Work
And speaking of fabric addictions, I just scored this little number at an estate sale a few weeks ago.

[note: hand was NOT included!]
It belonged to a little old lady and I am assuming it was a scarf. I have no idea what I have in store for it, but all I know is I had to have it.
Any suggestions?
And, I would like to add today is my three year wedding anniversary! Boy how time can slip right through you fingertips!

[me: after having one of my very own cupcakes lovingly smashed in my face.]
We’ve got some new additions we’re just dying to share with you. Here is a sneak peek of what we’ve been up to. If you have any questions or are interested in purchasing one, please contact us!

And here is one from our Warren County Festival of Arts show.

I did some cleaning today and actually found my dining room table! Since that table is ALSO my work table, I wanted to do some re-arranging. So I put the one thing that inspires me the most right in front of me.

My little drummer boy from New Orleans makes me smile uncontrollably! And always inspires me, no matter what.
We’d like to thank everyone who came and saw us at this years Warren County Art Festival. As always we had a blast and it was so nice seeing and meeting all of you.
We would also like to let you know we are now accepting kustom orders of all shapes and sizes! Kustom Kreepies are great for any special occasion.

Let us kreate something out of this world for you!
For more information feel free to contact us at kokokreepies@hotmail.com
And thank you all again! Hopefully we’ll see you next year too!
